Falogis Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy
Draft — not yet dated for publication
These documents are provided as preliminary business/legal drafts and have not yet been reviewed or approved by a qualified legal practitioner.
This policy explains who owns what on Falogis, the licence you give when you upload content, and how infringement complaints and takedowns are handled.
1. Falogis branding
The Falogis name, logo, wordmark and visual identity belong to F A Logistics Nigeria Limited. They may not be used without written permission, and must never be used in a way that suggests endorsement, verification, partnership or employment that does not exist.
2. Platform content
The software, design, layout, text and other material produced by Falogis are protected by intellectual property rights and may not be copied, scraped, resold or reused beyond ordinary use of the platform.
3. User-generated content
Listings, requests, store pages, messages, images and other material submitted by users remain the property of the person who owns the rights in them. Falogis does not claim ownership of your content.
4. Listing photographs
Photographs must be your own or used with permission. Using another seller's photographs, a manufacturer's images without authority, or stock images that misrepresent the actual item is prohibited.
5. Descriptions
Listing and store descriptions must be written by you or used with permission. Copying another seller's description is both a rules breach and a potential infringement.
6. Copyright ownership
Submitting content to Falogis does not transfer ownership. You remain responsible for ensuring that you have the rights required for everything you upload.
7. Licence granted to Falogis
By submitting content you grant Falogis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform and the services you have asked for. The licence ends for new uses when you remove the content, subject to retained records and backups.
8. Infringement complaints
If you believe content on Falogis infringes your rights, contact us through the Falogis contact page with: your details, identification of the work, the specific location of the material complained of, a statement of your belief that the use is unauthorised, and confirmation that the information you give is accurate.
9. Unauthorised uploads
Content uploaded without the rights holder's permission may be removed. Falogis may act on a credible complaint before any final determination of the underlying dispute.
10. Counterfeit content
Listing counterfeit, replica or otherwise brand-infringing goods is prohibited and may lead to immediate removal and account action, in addition to any action the rights holder may take.
11. Takedown process
On receiving a complete complaint Falogis will review it, may remove or restrict the material, and will normally notify the user who posted it. That user may respond with evidence of their rights, and the material may be restored where the response resolves the issue.
12. Counter-notice and disputes
Falogis cannot decide ownership of intellectual property. Where the parties disagree, the material may remain unavailable until the dispute is resolved between them or by a competent authority.
13. Repeat infringement
Accounts that repeatedly post infringing material may have selling or advertising features restricted, and may be suspended or terminated.
14. Third-party intellectual property
References to third-party brands, trade marks or product names on Falogis are for identification only and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
15. Advertising content
Advertisers warrant that they hold all rights needed for the creative they supply and indemnify Falogis in respect of claims arising from it. See the Advertising Terms.
16. Auction content
Auction titles, descriptions and photographs are subject to the same rules as listings. Material infringing a third party's rights may cause an auction to be rejected, withdrawn or cancelled.
17. Account termination for serious or repeated infringement
Falogis may terminate an account for serious infringement or a pattern of infringement. Termination on this basis does not entitle the user to a refund of amounts properly due for services already used.
18. No unsupported claims
This policy sets out how Falogis intends to handle intellectual property complaints. It is not legal advice, does not determine legal ownership, and does not guarantee any particular outcome in any jurisdiction.
19. Governing law
This draft is prepared on the basis of the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where Falogis is operated from. The final governing-law and jurisdiction position is to be confirmed by a qualified legal practitioner.
Falogis is operated by F A Logistics Nigeria Limited. Questions about this draft can be sent through the Falogis contact page.
