Falogis Payments & Refund Policy
Draft — not yet dated for publication
These documents are provided as preliminary business/legal drafts and have not yet been reviewed or approved by a qualified legal practitioner.
This policy explains how payments are recorded and how refunds would be handled. Live online payment capture is not currently activated on Falogis.
1. Current position
Falogis has a payment architecture in place — amounts, currencies, payment states and a payment record for each chargeable item — but live online payment capture is NOT activated. Falogis does not currently take card payments or hold user funds through the platform.
2. Future position
Falogis may activate one or more payment providers, such as Paystack and/or other providers, in the future. When that happens the applicable provider, supported methods and any additional terms will be disclosed at the point of payment before any charge is made.
3. Payment methods
Until live capture is activated, amounts recorded on the platform are settled by separate arrangement where they are payable at all. Once activated, supported methods will be shown at checkout and may vary by market.
4. Currencies
Amounts are recorded in a supported currency and each chargeable record carries its own currency. Falogis is designed to operate in more than one currency and may add further currencies as it expands internationally. The currency shown on a record is the currency that applies to it.
5. Payment providers
Where a third-party provider is used, that provider processes the payment under its own terms and privacy notice. Falogis does not store full card details. A provider may perform its own fraud and identity checks and may decline a transaction.
6. Subscriptions
Subscription plans have a price, currency, billing interval and status. A plan is only active while its record says so. With live capture inactive, subscription activation is administered by Falogis rather than charged automatically. See the Subscription Terms.
7. Marketplace services
Ordinary marketplace listings are free to publish subject to moderation. Where a paid marketplace feature is offered, its price and currency are shown before it is applied.
8. Advertising
Advertising placements carry a recorded price and currency. See the Advertising Terms. No live charge is taken while payment capture is inactive.
9. Concierge services
A Concierge request may carry a service fee recorded on the request. The cost of the goods themselves and any third-party or delivery charges are separate and are agreed with the supplier. See the Concierge Terms.
10. Auctions
Auction settlement figures — winning bid, platform fee, seller amount, payment and payout status — are recorded on the auction. Settlement is administered rather than automatically captured while live payments are inactive. See the Auction Terms.
11. Payment confirmation
A payment is only treated as made when the platform record shows it as succeeded. A provider's pending or processing state is not confirmation. Keep any provider receipt you receive.
12. Failed payments
A failed payment leaves the related service inactive. You may retry once the underlying cause is resolved. Repeated failures may lead to a service being suspended.
13. Duplicate payments
Where the records show that the same amount has been paid twice for the same item, Falogis intends to correct the position by refunding or crediting the duplicate once payment capture is operational.
14. Refunds
Refunds are considered where a paid service was not delivered, was cancelled by Falogis, or was charged in error. Refunds are not given merely because a marketplace transaction with a third party did not go as you hoped, or because a service did not produce the commercial result you wanted.
15. Partial refunds
Where part of a service has been delivered, any refund may be reduced to reflect the value already provided — for example a Concierge job partly performed or a campaign that ran for part of its term.
16. Cancellations
Cancellation rights and their effect are set out in the terms for each service. Cancelling stops future access from the point stated in those terms; it does not automatically reverse amounts properly due for the period already used.
17. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, tell Falogis at the same time so the records can be reviewed. Falogis may suspend related services while a chargeback is outstanding and may recover amounts properly due.
18. Payment disputes
Payment disputes should be raised through the Falogis contact page with the reference of the payment record concerned. See the Complaints & Dispute Resolution Policy.
19. Third-party payment providers
Falogis is not responsible for outages, delays, declines or fees imposed by a payment provider, bank or card issuer, but will assist with reconciliation using the platform's own records.
20. Currency conversion
Where you pay in a currency other than your account currency, your bank or the provider may apply its own conversion rate and charges. Those are outside the control of Falogis and are not refundable by Falogis.
21. Applicable fees
Fees such as platform commission on a completed auction, a Concierge service fee, subscription charges and advertising charges are shown on the record they relate to. No undisclosed platform fee is applied.
22. Taxes and charges
Prices may be exclusive of tax where applicable. You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from your own trading activity. Falogis will apply tax to its own charges where it is legally required to do so in a given market.
23. Fraud prevention
Falogis and any provider may carry out checks to prevent fraud and money laundering, and may decline, delay or reverse a transaction where fraud, abuse or unlawful activity is suspected.
24. Payment records
Payment records are retained for as long as needed to operate the service, reconcile accounts, resolve disputes and meet legal and accounting obligations. You can see the records relating to your own account.
25. Dispute resolution and governing law
Complaints are handled under the Complaints & Dispute Resolution Policy. This draft is prepared on the basis of the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where Falogis is operated from; the final governing-law position is to be confirmed by a qualified legal practitioner.
Falogis is operated by F A Logistics Nigeria Limited. Questions about this draft can be sent through the Falogis contact page.
